Mouths of Babes

My boys always says the darnest things!
Check this page out for a quick chuckle or an "ah-ha" as they entertain and enlighten me in rearing and teaching them.

6/8/13...My sweet little Chipmunk rebuked me! LOL!
As we're driving to church, he tells me, "Mommy, do not run off this time without giving me a kiss! I want my kiss! The last time you were gone and forgot to kiss me and that makes me worry about you!" (Okay, Munk, I will be sure to NEVER forget your kiss again and please NEVER worry about mommy.)

4/20...My Peanut and I were hanging in the kitchen and he says
Peanut: "Mommy, look I can sing OKRA!" (And he begins to sing very, very highly!)
Me:        "Um, that would be OPERA music, Peanut. Okra are vegetables!"

4/18/13...My Chipmunk and I were reviewing our days of Creation. Of course, the 7th day, God rested. To add affects to the review, I stretched really big (and dramatic for a 4 year old) and then brought myself to state of rest...demonstrating "God rested." I guess my son heard an "Uh" in my demonstration b/c he says to me...

Chipmunk: "What mama? God got Arrested? God was fighting? No, Mama, that can't be right! You can't call the police on God."

Me: No, Munk, I said "rested" not "arrested."

Chipmunk:  "Oh yeah, I forgot there are 2 kinds of rested: the one like when you go to bed and the one like when you call the police."

Me:  Kind of Jaden...those are not the same words. But remember, God rested as in stopped working not as in going to bed. God does not sleep."

Chipmunk: "Then why is He resting?"

Me: Nevermind Jaden. Just learn your days of Creation. And know God was not arrested. He is too busy watching you! LOL! (I had to get him!)

4/9/13....My Chipmunk says to me during handwriting today..."Mom, I just really love God!" (Me too, son!)
1/13... My youngest never ceases to amaze me for a 3 year old. I was TRYING to explain to him the value of his eyes an why God blessed him with his sight. I'm showing awesome pics of nature and creation and remind him he would miss out seeing these things w/o eyes. Then I say, see how great God is, what would you do w/o your sight? He says: oh, mom! I'd use my imagination!!
